The African Water Facility supports the preparation of bankable, investment-ready projects to mobilize and secure investment for the implementation of key water-related infrastructure and services.

Partnerships currently exist with the following institutions:

New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD)

Project preparation will be allocated 75% of the overall program budget.

NEPAD’s primary objectives are to eradicate poverty, place African countries, both individually and collectively, on a path of sustainable growth and development, halt the marginalisation of Africa in the globalisation process and enhance its full and beneficial integration into the global economy and accelerate the empowerment of women.
